About Me

Hey, I'm Yuki (he/they, ace); super serious artist, writer, and professional goof. My inspirations are comic books, classical art, art nouveau, and ukiyo-e. I'm primarily interested in relationships & sex as a narrative device. Let me know what you need and I will be happy to help!

Q & A

Commissions can be daunting, especially if its your first time or if you're socially anxious. Everything has a rationale attached that I would be happy to break down for you and I hope that any doubts will be assuaged by my explanations.

What does the process look like?

  • You Contact Me, I Give You A Consultation and Price

  • You Pay Me, I Make a Preliminary Sketch

  • (you may request foundational changes here)

  • Sketch is Locked In, I Give You Updates On The Work as Needed

  • (you may request minor changes here)

  • I Give You a Deliverable, Bid You Farewell, See You Next Time

What is a Coloured Sketch?
My process has four levels (sketch, lineart, flats, render). A coloured sketch skips the lineart phase and forgoes the render phase. The result is a rougher but still aesthetically pleasing product for the budget-concious or if you just like that style. Any add-on fees still apply.
What is up with the Additional Character price?
You'd think that doubling the work means doubling the price and you'd be correct, but I've chosen to give a discount on that to thank you for your patronage. Your characters don't even have to be in the same piece (same transactions only). And if you want a threesome? That is 100% plus 75% and 75%.
Why is there no fixed price for Backgrounds?
A solid colour or gradient background is included with the base price, but sometimes you want more. It is easier to draw sheets than it is to draw a poolside and that will be reflected in the price.
What is the Complexity Fee?
This is for Genshin-levels of complicated character design; extra accessories and clothing in all sorts of materials, colours, patterns, and finishes. A few extra bracelets and funky hair do not count. You are unlikely to trigger this with nsfw since I presume that your subjects will be mostly naked, but you will if your naked people have full-body tattoos.
What is the Major Changes fee about?
This is if you request a massive foundational change after that period is over. In my chart, each "level" builds on top of the last one (render on top of flats, flats on top of lineart, lineart on top of sketch). If I am in the rendering stage and you want someone's head placed somewhere else, it impacts every single layer I've built and maybe even the character's entire body, ergo costing more time. Changing someone's shirt color or bending a finger does not count toward this.
If you are unsure about anything at any point, feel free to ask me. You are my client; of course I want you to be happy.

*My definition of personal use refers to activities like using the work as a profile picture, header, making a post on social media or sharing my post, printing it out to hang on your wall, making an accessory like a phone case only for yourself**Commerce refers to using my work to sell products whether through bulk manufacturing, print-on-demand or other retail activity. If you are interested in doing so, you will pay my commercial fee and I will relinquish my copyright; this will involve a contractual agreement.

  • You must be over the age of 18. I am enforcing this rule because I also make NSFW. I am not liable for any harm experienced by you or others for any reason. You have not engaged my services under duress and by paying me to create your request, I am making the fair assumption that you are an adult.

  • Using my works for nefarious purposes is forbidden. This includes reasons like revenge, harassment, stalking, and other criminal activity that can be classified as misdemeanors, felonies, summary offences, hybrid offences and other equivalent classifications in other countries. Do not.

  • Communication: Be clear with what you need from me as I will be with you. This will ensure the best possible result. I will exercise my artistic liberties if you don't know what you want but this leaves you subject to my whims and you may not like the result.

  • Communication: Do not be afraid to tell me if something needs to be changed because I don’t always get it right the first time, but I must insist that you send me all your changes compiled in a neat format (point-form) so I can action them all at once. Please understand that you are paying for my time at the end of the day and the production of art is an incidental occupation of it.

  • Communication: I welcome objective criticism, but you have to know what you are talking about. Make it clear to me why you are saying something and say it respectfully. I am not immune to artistic blindness and biases and I am always open to learning something new, therefore I am personally giving you permission to interact with me like this if needed (do not do this to other artists because you will blindside them)

  • Project Forecast: You can expect a sketch within 24 hours and a finished piece in up to 2 weeks assuming we are able to communicate in a timely manner. This is also dependent on subject matter. Some things are faster than others. For an in-depth breakdown of expected project steps, see here

  • Privacy: It is normal for artists to share work they've done for portfolio purposes. You can inform me if you want your commission to be more private. See my request form for your options.

Payment

  • For thorough explanations about the pricing and fees, see here

  • Payment is required upfront. This may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis*. I may ask for an additional fee the depending on the complexity of changes and payment will be required prior to actioning (for example, if you ask for a foundational change after we have passed that step of the process)

  • Refunds: There will not be any refunds once the work has started. In very rare cases that I cannot foresee, you will be refunded if I feel that there is no possible way for me to complete the work as requested.

  • I reserve the right to change my prices, terms and conditions to evolve with demand, ability and infrastructure but never in the midst of an active request.

  • *Hey! Commissions are expensive. I understand. In cases where the bill runs high, I will allow you to pay in increments. "What does that mean?" You will pay for the sketch, I will make the sketch. You will pay for the lineart, I will draw the lineart and so on. I get hit with fees everytime I transact with a client, but I'm willing to do so because I love what I do. Please note that the sketch will likely be the most expensive part of the process because I will be charging all the add-on fees upfront. This is in line with the fact that most of our communication will happen during the sketch phase to lay the proper foundation for your desires.
